MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — A K-9 officer and an alleged suspect are both injured after an officer-involved shooting in Morgan County Monday afternoon.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at a home in the 4700 block of Belt Lane in Morgan County, near Patton Lake.
Police said a person called the Morgan County Sheriff's Office saying they saw a man who was possibly breaking into a home.
After the person called the sheriff's office, the Morgan County Sheriff's Office said officers responded to the scene with a K-9.
When officers arrived on scene, they said they saw "forced entry" into the home, which led officers to call for the alleged suspect to get out of the home. However, the suspect refused, so that's when officers released the K
