Syracuse, N.Y. - The National Weather Service on Monday issued winter storm watches calling for up to 7 inches of snow in parts of Central New York.
The snow is expected to hit Oswego and northern Oneida County as well as Jefferson and Lewis counties.
The snow will start Tuesday night and continue into Thursday morning, according to the weather service.
The snow could make travel difficult, particularly on Wednesday morning and evening when the heaviest amounts are expected, the weather service said.
The greatest accumulations will likely span across the higher terrain of the Tug Hill Plateau and western foothills of the Adirondacks.
