Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo hasn't endeared himself to fans after the team's offense has taken a nosedive during Patullo's first year calling plays.
However, a group of agitated Eagles fans allegedly took things way too far by egging Patullo's house in response to his coaching struggles.
"Vandals egged Patullo's Moorestown, New Jersey home after the Eagles' 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears on Black Friday, police told ESPN," our Wajih AlBaroudi wrote about the incident. "Video of the incident emerged on social media, and it featured a message from one of the vandals to Patullo that only an Eagles fan could craft: 'Get the [expletive] out of Philly. Go Birds.'"
Patullo rightfully told reporters a line was crossed by the fans who allegedly egged his house and left such an ugly message.
"As coaches and players, we all know that part of our job is to handle criticism," Patullo said last week about the incident, via USA TODAY's Nate Davis.
"It's perfectly acceptable to sit up here and talk about what's going on, how to fix it, what we're going to do going forward, and we know that. But when it involves your family, obviously it crosses the line. That happened, and at this point, we've just got to move on. We're trying to win. That's all we want to do is focus, whether it's my family, whether it's the team, all we're trying to do together is focus on this week."
Hopefully, folks will leave Patullo's home alone and stick with earnest criticism of his coaching work as opposed to alleged petty vandalism.
