MAGA world is still remaining hopeful after Alina Habba , President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, announced Monday she has resigned as the top federal prosecutor for New Jersey, a week after an appeals court said she was serving in the role unlawfully.

In a statement posted on X, Habba warned to “not mistake compliance for surrender,” adding her decision will “not weaken the Justice Department and it will not weaken me.”

“Make no mistake, you can take the girl out of New Jersey, but you cannot take New Jersey out of the girl,” she said in her announcement.

It is not immediately clear who will lead the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Garden State. Habba said she would remain with the Justice Department as senior adviser to Attorney General Pam Bondi .
