MICHIGAN, USA — Winter has started off strong in West Michigan. It has been a very cold and snowy December so far for the region.
A snowstorm, heavy lake-effect snow and even freezing drizzle has impacted the area already, and it is only early December.
On December 3, much of West Michigan saw freezing drizzle. This especially caused travel headaches in the Grand Rapids metro , with over 30 slide-offs.
Unfortunately, freezing drizzle could once again cause some slick roadways into Tuesday morning.
This is not expected to be a widespread and major issue, but it does not take much freezing drizzle or ice accretion to cause travel problems.
We have issued a 13 Weather Impact Alert for the possibility of seeing a light glaze of ice Tuesday morning, especially after 7 a.m.
