HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Good Tuesday evening everyone! After a mild day with temperatures in the 50s and 60s, our attention now turns to strong winds that will sweep across the area this evening into Wednesday morning. Strong winds have already overtaken the Panhandle and Sandhills early this evening as a cold front continues to press southward into Northern Nebraska. Near and behind the front, some light rain or sprinkles will be possible. In the wake of the cold front, winds will turn northwesterly and quickly ramp up as we head into the evening hours. As the cold plows through this evening, expect stronger northwest winds overnight. Gusts could get up anywhere between 35 to 50 mph across the area.
