ASSUMPTION PARISH, La. (WAFB) - A suspect has been locked up after allegedly leading authorities on a high-speed chase in Assumption Parish.
According to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, Deantae Myles Washington is facing multiple charges following the pursuit on Wednesday, December 3.
The situation began when a deputy in an I.C.E assigned unit observed a vehicle make a traffic violation on Highway 70, authorities said. They added that the deputy attempted to pull Washington over, but he refused to stop.
The pursuit began, with the suspect driving in a reckless manner and reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, according to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The pursuit went through Donaldsonville and onto Highway 308. It ended when Washington crashed at the inters
