ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man was rescued and a woman was displaced after an overnight apartment fire in southeast Atlanta, according to fire officials.
The fire happened at a unit at the Terraces at Highbury Court apartment complex, located at 50 Mt. Zion Rd. SE, after 2 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they started working to take out the heavy flames.
According to fire officials, a man was inside the eight-unit building, and firefighters found him. He walked out on his own.
Fire officials told Atlanta News First that a woman is displaced. Since she went with her family, the American Red Cross was not called.
