Windsor police have arrested a man after two assaults at the same west-end home within an hour on Friday.
Police said they responded to a home in the west end Friday just before 9 a.m. for a report of an assault. A man followed a female acquaintance into a washroom, “where he choked her and destroyed a mirror. He then dragged the victim by her hair into another room," police said in a news release on Monday.
A suspect was arrested, but when the victim said she did not want to pursue charges, police say they were obligated to release him.
Under an hour later, police allege the man returned to the home and kicked in a rear door. During this incident, police say he “stole the victim’s phone and struck her with a lamp.”
