LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville Athletics is honoring the late Junior Bridgeman with a jersey retirement.
The jersey retirement will coincide with celebrating the 50th anniversary of UofL’s 1975 Final Four Team.
“Bridgeman's life and legacy go well beyond the game of basketball as a brilliant businessman and humble humanitarian,” Louisville Athletics said in a news release.
The retirement ceremony and the 1975 team celebration will be held at halftime during Saturday’s men’s basketball game against old Metro Conference rival Memphis.
The game tips off at 3:30 p.m.
Louisville’s coaching staff and other athletics staff will wear special #10 jersey pins to mark the special occasion.
