PULLMAN, Wash - The man who will lead the Washington State Cougar offense in at the end of this uncertain season is urging fans to rally behind the players.

Quarterback Zevi Eckhaus posted a message on Twitter/X Monday, as the without their head coach.

Coach Jimmy Rogers left Pullman over the weekend for a new job at Iowa State.

This is the second year in a row the Cougs' head coach has bailed for a new job before the bowl game.

Last year, it was Eckhaus who made the most of that bowl game, playing in place of quarterback John Mateer who left after the regular season for Oklahoma.
