SPOKANE, Wash. — Moses Lake Education Association members overwhelmingly approved their new contract with the school district, voting 99.9% in favor of ratification during a Monday evening meeting.
The vote came after teachers returned to classrooms following a strike. Association members gathered at Moses Lake High School on Dec. 8 to review the agreement before voting.
"On Friday, the district came to the table open to compromise and ready to bargain in good faith," said Moses Lake EA President Heather Whittall. "This collective bargaining agreement ensures our members will have stability moving forward for the next three years."
