LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) - State and federal officials on Monday took the first step to make Blanchard Springs Caverns Arkansas’s newest state parks, a news release said.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and state parks secretary Shea Lewis signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Forest Service to begin the process of designating the caverns as Arkansas’s 53rd state park, according to the release.
