DIXON, Ill. — A local high school just announced its next athletics hall of fame inductees.
The Dixon High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee has announced its 2026 Hall of Fame inductees.
Here is a list of those inductees, divided into the categories of teams, athletes, and coaches.
Teams
1974-74 Volleyball - 1st Sectional champion and Sweet Sixteen team in Dixon girls' athletics history.
1979 Football - NCIC runner up who finished with a 7-2 record.
2000 Football - Recorded the most wins since 1936 at that time.
2001 Football - 1st NCIC champion since 1938.
Athletes
John Crabtree '33 - Football All-State lineman.
Jim Mercer '51 - Basketball All-State and first 1,000-point scorer for Dixon.
Brad Kipping '71 - Football and basketball dual-athlete.
Mike Swinton '78 - Footbal
