BALTIMORE -- Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson was a surprise inactive for the team against the Baltimore Ravens after slowly slipping up the depth chart this year. Instead, veterans Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling earned those reps instead.
Thielen played 25 snaps, the second-most among wide receivers on the team, while Valdes-Scantling played 16, tied for third most with Calvin Austin III.
Tomlin says it was the presence of those veterans that forced them away from playing Wilson against the Ravens.
“Exactly what you said, because of the veteran receivers,” Tomlin said.
