Montana State running back Julius Davis, who started his college career at Wisconsin , has issued an apology after getting into an altercation with his own head coach this past weekend.
Davis went viral after he was captured on video shoving Bobcats coach Brent Vigen off of him following Montana State’s 21-13 win over Yale. You can check out video of the incident here .
Julius Davis has since taken to Instagram to explain what happened and apologize for his role in the altercation.
“ESPN misconstrued a moment in our previous game. I was not smack talking the Yale players, I actually was dapping up a former teammate of mine from Wisconsin,” Davis said in a statement. “I want to sincerely apologize to my teammate and my coach for my actions.
