NEW ORLEANS —

The Department of Homeland Security has announced more arrests in the immigration operation in New Orleans.

According to DHS, Operation Catahoula Crunch has made dozens of immigrants accused of rape, theft, gang membership, human smuggling, and abuse. Advertisement

DHS did list the following arrests, noting prior convictions:

Jorge Vierra-Serrano, of Cuba, convicted of forcible rape and aggravated battery, and previously arrested for aggravated battery and a traffic offense.

Hander Bladimar Monrroy-Santiago, of Guatemala. According to DHS, he has been living in the U.S. illegally since 2022 after overstaying his work visa. He was also previously arrested for smuggling a person.

Darlin Perdomo-Rodriguez, of Honduras. DHS said Perdomo-Rodriguez has entered the U.S. twice
