It’s been a tumultuous year for Windsor-Essex's economy, battered by tariffs and trade policy from U.S. President Donald Trump, but recent jobs numbers show improvement.

Once Canada’s unemployment capital, the rate for Windsor-Essex has now dropped to just 8.1 per cent, with a record number of people in the region working.

While the region isn't out of the woods yet, the CEO of the region's chamber of commerce says he thinks there are brighter days ahead.
