On Monday (December 8), Starlink's India website showed the residential price details of the satellite-based internet tariff plans.
It showed Starlink subscription plan will be offered with a starting price of Rs 8,600, and the customer has to pay Rs 34,000 for the hardware retail box. Many thought the tariff plan was kind of expensive for a price-conscious market like India.
Now, it has come to light that there was a glitch that caused the website to show wrong pricing information.
Lauren Dreyer, vice president of Starlink Business Operations, confirmed on the X platform that a configuration glitch briefly made dummy test data visible on its India website, and this issue has been fixed. Also, assured that the cost of the Starling service will be announced later.
