SOLON, Ohio -- Roxbury Elementary School is on track to welcome students back to the building Jan. 8, following confirmation that environmental abatement of asbestos in the school’s north wing has cleared safety testing.

In a message to families Dec. 3, district officials said post-abatement air quality results came back clear for return.

Final testing reports will be posted on the Roxbury Environmental Issue Hub once they are delivered to the district.

The clearance marks a major turning point for a project that has stretched through the fall and required Roxbury’s entire student body and staff to relocate to Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls.

Students will remain there through Dec. 19, the final day before winter break.
