LANSING — A 15-year-old boy was shot late on Dec. 8 in south Lansing and police are searching for a suspect in the incident.
Lansing police responded to the 1900 block of Georgetown Boulevard for a report of shots fired about 10:53 p.m. and found the boy with a gunshot wound to the leg, Lansing Public Information Director Jordan Gulkis said in a statement.
The boy was transported to a Lansing area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Gulkis added.
No arrests have been made.
The shooting is the second involving a teen in that area in a month.
Daviahn Latham, 18, was shot and killed on Nov. 11 in the 2000 block of Georgetown Boulevard inside the The Arbors at Georgetown Apartments complex.
