Kochi: Actor Mammootty will not be able to cast his vote in the local body elections, with his name missing from the voter list this time as well. This marks a repeat of the 2020 local body polls, when he was similarly unable to participate.

Mammootty and his family previously lived in Panampilly Nagar, where they voted at the Panampilly Nagar Govt. Higher Secondary School. The family later shifted to Elamkulam shortly before the last local body elections, leading to complications in their voter registration.

Although he did not vote in that local body election, Mammootty did cast his vote in the 2021 Assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. On both occasions, Mammootty and his wife Sulfath voted at Ponnurunni CKC LP School.
