Giant music streamer Spotify has finally begun rolling out music videos in beta to premium users across the U.S. and Canada after launching them in dozens of other markets globally.
“For decades, music videos have done more than just accompany a song; they’ve shaped style, started conversations, and helped build fandom. This expansion gives millions more listeners access to a catalog of official music videos, and also introduces new video formats like live performances and covers,” the company said in a blog post Tuesday. It noted that the initial video catalog – featuring artists like Ariana Grande, Olivia Dean, BABYMONSTER, Addison Rae, Tyler Childers, Natanael Cano, and Carín León — is limited for now but promised availability will grow quickly over the coming months.
