A woman who arranged to meet with a man she met online was sexually assaulted and robbed during the encounter, Windsor police say.
Early Monday morning, officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 3100 block of Howard Avenue.
Investigators learned that a woman had entered a man’s vehicle after first agreeing to meet with him online. When she got into the car, a second, unknown man was also inside.
Both men attempted to touch the woman “in a sexual manner,” police said in a news release later that afternoon.
“The victim refused to engage in sexual activity and attempted to call 911. At that time, one suspect allegedly choked her and stole her belongings, before the two male parties fled the scene.”
Roughly two hours later, officers located and arrested two male suspects.
