(CNN) - People in the northern United States could get a treat Tuesday night.
Scientists said some solar activity might make the northern lights visible, but that’s just a prediction and not a guarantee.
If you want to look for the northern lights, check around midnight.
Other times to look are just after sunset and before sunrise.
States with the best chance of visible auroras include Alaska, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, New York, Washington, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.
