A television antiques dealer was rescued from an isolated woodland area after she fell and broke her hip during a dog walk.

Jo Roberts, known for her appearances on BBC One 's The Bidding Room, found herself alone and in severe pain after being pulled to the ground by her pet dog.

The 73-year-old was enjoying a tranquil walk near her home in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, when her lively one-year-old puppy Suzie spotted a squirrel and dashed off, causing Jo to fall.

She lay immobilised on the path, unable to call for assistance as she had left her mobile phone at home to enjoy some "me time."
