A Midland dad and his daughter were killed in a tragic caravan fire while on a trip together, an inquest has heard.

Lee Baker, 48, and his 10-year-old daughter Esme were spending a weekend together when they died in the early hours of April 5.

Two possible causes of the fire include a discarded cigarette or a malfunctioning phone or tablet, Lincoln Coroner’s Court heard.

Simon Cartwright, fire investigation officer for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, told the inquest that the blaze started at the back of the caravan.
