Iam hoping someone who is a Trump supporter can explain what the president is doing pardoning serious and dangerous drug traffickers. There must be some logic behind it, but I don’t get it (“ Trump pardons Baltimore drug trafficker who ran multimillion-dollar ring ,” Dec. 9).

According to the article, “Prosecutors said Smith,” the man Donald Trump just pardoned, “paid no taxes, structured bank deposits to avoid federal reporting requirements and placed assets in the names of friends and relatives. In total, including the Arkansas seizure, authorities confiscated about $6.7 million in assets.”
