GONZALES, La. —

A Gonzales couple has been arrested and accused of abusing two foster care children in their home.

According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, Chelsea Blouin, 33, and Gregg Blouin, 34, both of Gonzales, are facing charges connected to the severe abuse of two children. Advertisement

On Friday, deputies received information that a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old were being physically abused at their foster home on Sycamore Bend Avenue.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found severe bruises and other injuries on both children, according to a news release issued by the sheriff's office.
