Paramount CEO David Ellison offered assurances to Trump administration officials that if he bought Warner Bros Discovery, he’d make sweeping changes to CNN, a common target of President Trump’s ire, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Ellison launched a hostile takeover effort for Warner on Monday, taking its case directly to shareholders.
