Tillsonburg council has pulled the plug on a proposed $70-million battery energy storage project proposed for the Van Norman Innovation Park.

Despite interest from Skyline Energy in building a facility the company says would’ve help power Tillsonburg’s grid during peak summer hours while investing $600,000 in the town over a 20-year-period, town council voted against supporting the project during its Dec. 9 meeting.
