Gerhard Struber has explained that he doesn't want Bristol City to make signings in January just to increase the size of his playing squad, with the Robins boss keen to only add players with the right quality and character to his ranks.

The Reds will have their next chance to make additions to Struber's squad in a little over three weeks' time when the transfer window opens for the second time this term. Between now and the new year, City have another five games to play, starting with Wednesday night's clash with Leicester City .

Struber has remained insistent that the majority of his focus is directed towards that run of matches in the lead-up to and over the festive period
