KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - On Tuesday morning, just over a dozen members of the Wyandotte County community gathered on the front steps of the Unified Government Building to demonstrate what they say is a lack of justice served to former KCKPD detective, Roger Golubski. Many people held candles in solidarity while singing ‘This Little Light of Mine.’
The Kansas Bureau of Investigations (KBI) confirmed in January of 2025 that Roger Golupski died by suicide on Dec. 2 , 2024, the day he was supposed to begin his federal trial in Topeka. Golubski stood accused of decades of abuse, corruption, and of preying on vulnerable Black women in humble neighborhoods.
