A political storm in Maharashtra has intensified after a video posted by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve showed a man sitting next to bundles of cash, with Danve asking who the MLA is and what he is doing with so much money.

The clip was shared with a sharp caption questioning how the government “has no money for farm loan waiver, but everything else is OK,” and tagging the chief minister, both deputy chief ministers and senior central leaders.

Soon after, Shiv Sena MLA Mahendra Dalvi appeared on News18 Lokmat and strongly denied that he is the person seen with the cash. He said he has nothing to do with the money or the place shown in the video and claimed the clip has been morphed by pasting his photo into it.
