LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lancaster County Attorney’s Office said Tuesday that it declined to file charges against the man accused of fatally shooting his own brother and wounding a bystander at a Casey’s gas station last Thursday.
Emanuel Greenwalt-Claypool, 23, was arrested after the shooting on suspicion of second-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony and second-degree assault.
The attorney’s office said it has been working closely with the Lincoln Police Department regarding its investigation into the death of Greenwalt-Claypool’s brother, 24-year-old Jarell Wheeler.
According to police, investigators found that Greenwalt-Claypool was delivering store products and arrived at the Casey’s about the same time that Wheeler was leaving the store.
