OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Today, for the first time, First Alert 6 is hearing from the Lyft Driver involved in a recent drive-by shooting where his car was shot four times.

One bullet hit his driver’s side door, centimeters below the window and miraculously not passing all the way through the door, but the bullet that entered his back passenger door, did, hitting the 19-year-old man in the back seat.

“I was just in complete shock. No thoughts,” said Kalmurat Andakulov, who’s lived in the US for two years.

He doesn’t speak any English — making his recent experience more difficult to navigate.

After moving to Omaha in September, he began driving for Lyft.

On the night of Nov. 18, he picked up a passenger, for what he communicates through a translator, ended up being a life-changing ride.
