A dispute over a dog lead led to a disturbance in the street as men armed with weapons confronted each other, a court has heard. Lewis Dight - who initiated the violence by hitting his victim Jamie Glover on the head with a metal pole - subsequently went on the run and was found hiding in a "cubby hole" in the base of a bed.
A judge at Swansea Crown Court said both men had acted "disgracefully" on the day in question, and he described 20-year-old Dight as "someone who resorts to violence and threats with weapons".
Sian Cutter, prosecuting, told the court that on October 18 this year Dight borrowed a dog lead off Glover, a neighbour in McRitchie Place in the Gendros area of Swansea.
