HOUSTON — Big changes are coming for some of the Houston Astros' Minor League Baseball affiliates.
The Astros announced Dec. 9 that the team has agreed to sell three of its minor league clubs to Diamond Baseball Holdings. The three clubs — the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, Corpus Christi Hooks and Fayetteville Woodpeckers — will remain affiliates of the Astros, the team said. The teams will continue to be led by their existing leadership and continue to play at their respective home venues.
The Space Cowboys compete in Triple-A, the Hooks in Double-A and the Woodpeckers in Single-A.
