Championship leaders Coventry City had to settle for a point against ten man Preston North End where they were denied a league victory at the 24th attempt at Deepdale.
The Sky Blues – backed by almost 5,000 travelling fans – thought they’d broken the hoodoo when a Jack Rudoni shot deflected in off Andrew Hughes for an own goal. But North End pulled level six minutes later in 76th to add to the frustration of being unable to make their extra man advantage count.
