BOROUGHWIDE — Court officers are law enforcement professionals responsible for maintaining order, security and safety within court facilities, ensuring the smooth and lawful operation of proceedings

Despite glowing respect from members of the judiciary, a senior court officer and member of the New York State Court Officers Association told the Brooklyn Eagle that the over 4,000 uniformed court officers in the Unified Court System deserve more than what they are currently receiving.

The officer, who requested that his name not be used, directed the Eagle to his social media account, which currently has more than 2,300 followers.
