Some Louisiana residents with Medicaid will have a new provider in the new year after a contract was not renewed for a major Medicaid provider.

This comes amid ongoing litigation with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill over the health care provider allegedly overcharging Medicaid recipients for prescription drugs.
The decision not to move forward with the contract comes after the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a decision that sided with the state over the matter.
