Why I took the photo

The King Kullen Market photo is from my book, “Roadshow Anthropology.” I like the juxtaposition of the limo and King Kullen signage.

In the 1978 photo of the Royal Palace in Tonga, I like the unpretentiousness of being royalty.

In the most recent photograph, I was compiling visuals for No Kings Day.

How I took the photo

I used a Canon PowerShot G7X for the King Kullen Market photo and a Nikon F analog 135mm lens for the photo of the Royal Palace in Tonga. I used a Canon PowerShot G7X to photograph various signs on No Kings Day earlier this year.

And one more thing

To paraphrase Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1941 after the United States was invaded by Japan: October 18, 2025, is a date that will live in infamy.

It is the day that an estimated 7 million Americans
