San Diego International Airport is giving people the chance to say goodbye to loved ones at the gate and access the airport past security screening , no flight required, through a new program announced in November.
People can apply for a SAN Pass , which allows approved visitors who aren’t traveling to go through security screening and access one of California’s busiest airports past the security checkpoint, an experience previously the norm at airports before Sept. 11.
