LUFKIN Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin man accused of the death of his 4-month-old child made an appearance in court Tuesday morning.

Anfernee Durham, 25, is charged with capital murder. Durham was arrested in October 2023.

A medical examination ruled the child’s death a homicide caused by blunt-force trauma to the head and torso.

Angelina County District Judge Bob Inselmann scheduled Durham’s next hearing for Feb. 5, 2026.
