MADISON (WKOW) -- Increased snowfall this winter has been a boom for local snow removal companies.
The executive director of Barnes Inc. says this year's snowfall is a blessing for businesses like his that rely on snow to stay afloat.
"If we don't have snow, we don't survive. So to have this type of snowfall, this early, it's definitely a blessing for us," said Chris Georgeson.
Georgeson says some of his crews work long hours just to keep up with the snow when storms hit.
"We'll work anywhere from, I'd say, 12- to 18-hour shifts. You know, somewhere in there, give or take. But yeah, we're definitely putting in some long hours so far this winter," he said.
