BRISTOL, Conn. (WFSB) - After a three-month investigation, Bristol police have arrested the man they believe robbed a Valero gas station at knifepoint in September.
Christopher Simms, 36, was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny in connection with the early morning crime.
The incident unfolded on September 22 around 2:57 a.m. at the Valero Gas Station on Terryville Avenue. Police say a masked suspect entered the store, displayed a silver pocket knife and demanded money from the register.
The suspect then shoved the clerk to the ground before leaving with cash, according to police reports.
Patrol officers responded immediately and began their investigation. The Criminal Investigation Division was brought in to assist with the case.
