HIBBING, Minn. (Northern News Now) - U.S. Steel made a hefty donation to the City of Hibbing to help preserve Hibbing’s history.
The American steel company, contributed $75,000 dollars to upgrade Hibbing’s Memorial arena, which they believe will strengthens the tie between generations, while supporting youth programs.
Among the key upgrades, a new digital scoreboard will be installed to enhance not only the athletes but the communities experience.
Mayor Pete Hyduke of Hibbing says the support from U.S Steel makes a real difference in the region, “The Memorial Building is a cornerstone of our community, and U. S. Steel’s support helps ensure it remains a place where memories are made for generations to come.”
