Syracuse, N.Y. —Syracuse is expected to hire Georgia State’s Jeremy Hawkins as defensive line coach, according to CBS Sports .
Hawkins will replace former defensive coordinator and current defensive line coach, Elijah Robinson, who is expected to leave Syracuse for another job.
Syracuse also lost defensive ends coach Nick Williams to Florida State .
Hawkins was Georgia State’s defensive line coach and assistant head coach; a role Robinson was slated to hold in 2026. He was also the top-ranked recruited in the Sun Belt.
Before joining Georgia State in 2024, Hawkins spent four years at Eastern Kentucky as defensive line coach and defensive run game coordinator. EKU’s defensive line lead the Atlantic Sun with 22 sacks and 66 tackles for loss in 2021 before making the FCS Playoffs in 2
