A 4.2-acre waterfront development site purchased in Jersey City for $75 million is scheduled to be turned into two residential towers totaling with more than 1,250 apartments along the Hudson River.
Cushman & Wakefield arranged the sale of Harborside 8 and 9 on behalf of Veris Residential.
The site, which was purchased by Panepinto Properties, sits within the Harsimus Cove Station Redevelopment Area and has full approvals for large-scale residential and retail construction, officials said.
The first tower, Harborside 8, has complete construction drawings approved for a 65-story building with 678 apartments.
It also includes 8,578 square feet of retail space, a 350-space parking garage, and a 40,000-square-foot redesigned public park along the river.
