IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers on Tuesday said the airline’s operations are now “fully stabilised” after days of severe flight disruptions that grounded thousands of passengers and triggered regulatory scrutiny.

“We’ve let you down… and we’re sorry for that,” he said in a video address, adding that IndiGo is “back on its feet” with on-time performance normalised.

Elbers said the airline is now flying more than 1,800 flights a day, restoring its full network of 138 destinations. “As of December 9, our operations are fully stabilised,” he said, noting that services had climbed from 700 flights on December 5 to over 1,800 flights by Monday.
